Lease a hosted voting system
We run PublicVoting in our environments so your officers can focus on membership and decisions. The same open-source integrity model — operated for you. Self-host remains free under Apache-2.0.
What you get
- Dedicated voting system (slug / subdomain as agreed)
- Chosen procedure pack and brand theme as a starting point
- Officer bootstrap credentials and onboarding checklist
- Public hub, verify, and tracker pages for your members
- Operational backups and environment maintenance by our team
- Region: default UK / EU-oriented hosting discussion (confirm at order)
What you still own
- Who is on the roll and dual-control approvals
- Decision content, timing, and political process
- Tallier share custody for Mode B open ceremonies
- Communications to your members
- Legal fitness for your jurisdiction
Indicative pricing (conversation starter)
Not a binding quote. Final price depends on electorate size, SLA, and pack tier.
| Tier | Fit | Indicative from | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pilot | Clubs, small boards (≈1–250) | £79 / month | 1 system, T1–T2 packs, email support (business hours), nightly backups |
| Organisation | Unions, co-ops, larger boards | £249 / month | Stronger dual-control defaults, export, agreed support window, staging refresh optional |
| Assurance | Councils / higher stakes | Custom | high_assurance posture, stricter ops, named contacts, custom SLA |
Setup / onboarding from £0 (self-serve checklist) to £500+ for assisted bootstrap and training. Annual prepay discounts available on request.
Turnaround
- Pilot tenant: typically within 3 business days after we have organisation details and a signed order / ToS acceptance
- Organisation / Assurance: scheduled with you (often 1–2 weeks including onboarding call)
- Guided demo tenant: often faster — ask on the form
FAQ
Is the software free if we self-host?
Yes. Application code is Apache-2.0. Hosting, support, and the PublicVoting word mark for a commercial service are separate.
Can officers cast votes in the hosted portal?
No. Device-only cast is an integrity invariant — same as self-host.
Where is data stored?
In our operated environments (region confirmed on order). Membership PII stays in the private DB; public artefacts go to the append-only log surfaces you publish.
Who holds tallier shares?
Your officers. We do not centralise full ballot private keys for production Mode B defaults.
What support is included?
Pilot: email during UK business hours. Organisation/Assurance: window and response targets in the order form.
How do we leave?
Export audit packs and agreed data during a wind-down window; then tenant deletion per policy. See hosted terms.
